Alright, kids, what do you think this is? That's right: it's a waterfall. This looks majestic and awesome, doesn't it? You can see the way the breeze from the fall is blowing at the leaves around. Kids, did you know that this waterfall has a lot of energy in it? Yes. Energy means being able to do something. This waterfall, for example, can be used to generate electricity because of that energy. Waterfalls are formed when flowing water falls from a high position into a stream below because of the shape of the land around. We can all see the stream below. Wow! Look at how white the water seems. It's flowing over the rocks in a beautiful manner. Waterfalls usually increase in width, meaning they grow wider, whenever it rains. This is because the rain pours in more water into the river above which now falls down below. That's incredible! There are lots of waterfalls around the world like the Niagara falls in the USA, or the Victoria falls in southern Africa. Waterfalls make beautiful sites. I hope you get to see one someday.
