Subscribe to our channel and click the bell to turn the notifications on! Hello kids. Today we'll be watching a herd of elephants as they graze out on the greens. Let's go! That's a big elephant right there, strolling through the dense greens. There she goes again. Kids, take a look at this flock of birds, amongst them are the white cattle egrets. Whenever you see these cattle egrets know that there is a herd of mammals close by. In this case, we have the...elephants. Take a look at those three; that one on the left, the one with the pretty long trunk, looks really old. Now, there's the herd. They're grazing out in the wide open greens, swinging their trunks and cutting the grass. Some of the elephants are resting. Here's a top view of the elephant herd as they travel down the plain. You can see the blue water on the far right, remember elephants love water and this looks like a nice place for them to rest. Woah! Look at how the herd moves like one. The elephants are all packed close together, I don't think anything can harm them like that. As usual, the white birds are flocking close by. Back to these elephants grazing out in the open. It's a cool day so they aren't really in the water to cool off. The herd is rounded close to each other; this way they'll eat the sweet grass together and have no fear of any predators attacking. Also, the elephants stay packed like this so that no one would get lost. The elephants look real peaceful grazing out like this. Let's watch them as they continue with their business. The herd seems to be moving out now. Kids, can you notice something about the way the herd moves? The little elephants move in the middle of the big ones. Look at how tiny they look, unlike their mamas. Wow, that's a large herd! Look at how long the line is. Kids, did you know that this herd can travel like this for a long time and over a long distance? Off they go now. Let's say goodbye to them as they travel on to find more food and a different place to rest. Alright, kids, so we watched a large herd graze out in the field all day, and we even saw some little ones. That was fun, right?
