Staying with the herd– watching various herds of elephants as they go about with the day. Hey kids. Today is going to be awesome because we'll be watching another herd of elephants. I think there's something moving on the brown road there Let's take a look at some elephants. Do you see it? Yes! It's an elephant. Over there is a herd of elephants. Now we can see them clearly. See how they move together over the land. These animals are very social and faithful to the herd. Let's go and see what they are doing now. We can also see those white birds, their companions. What are those out there in the wide river? You got it! They are elephants. The water looks very wide, but elephants are also big so I don't think that will worry them. Look at some elephants at that far side. I wonder what that one is doing. Let's get closer. Of course; our only elephant friend is having a drink. Now we have another herd of elephants out on the green grass field. They're grazing and taking things slow in the hot afternoon. Wow! This is a large herd right here. These elephants seem to be enjoying each other's company out in the field. Now they're all moving far into the forest. Oh wait, they turned around. The herd will remain in this area until the food is finished or there is a need for water. Let's move along now. The elephants in this herd all seemed far apart. No matter what, they'll still be within a close distance so that when its time to move, no one will get left behind. Like now.. do you see them, kids? The elephants have all face one direction, even the ones at that far end. No one gets left behind. They've gone into the forest now; under the cool shelter of the trees. The elephants have had a long day out in the field, time for them to rest. We saw various herds today: out in the field and in the river. We watched them graze about and learned that the herd always sticks together. It's evening time and the sun will soon be setting.
