Hello kids. Today we have a herd of elephants to look at. They're a family of happy elephants and I'm sure we'll learn something from them. Come on now, let's go! Some elephants take a stroll around the forest. That's a herd of elephants. Can you count how many they are there? The elephants are all grazing around, picking at the dried grass with their trunks and enjoying the meal. We can see some really big elephants and some really small ones. And then there are some that are not so big or so small. The elephants play with each other even as they graze on. Elephants always enjoy family time with members of the herd. I hope we can all see that little one trying to disturb mama elephant over there. Now we have an elephant on its own by that shaky bush. That's a large bunch of grass in its trunk. Look at it nods as it chews on the grass. And it takes it more grass, and more again. Now you know why elephants are so big: they eat a lot. Let us watch them as they cross the road. Don't worry kids, elephants are gentle animals. But don't go poking at one or looking for trouble; they are also really strong animals. Remember, the herd always moves together. As we can all see, every elephant in the herd crossed the road at the same time. We just watched a herd of elephants graze around in the forest.
